(Lincolnton)At 5:30 on July 7, 2023, the Lincoln County Health Director lifted the water activity advisory originally issued on June 6, 2023 due to unknown material floating in Indian Creek and the South Fork Catawba River.
After an investigation from multiple county departments, it was found the material seen floating in the creek was animal excrement which had breached the containment reservoir on a nearby farm. The water activity advisory signs have been removed.
