As a reminder, 2018 Property taxes should be fully paid by January 7, 2019 to avoid interest and immediate collection remedies (garnishment, debt set-off, bank attachment, advertisement, levy and/or foreclosure) as allowed by NC General Statutes.
All unpaid 2018 taxes are considered delinquent as of January 8, 2019 (USPS Postmark applies) and at that time become subject to the above mentioned collection actions which incur additional legal fees. **Please also be reminded that delinquent taxes for any prior years remain subject to these same collection remedies until fully paid.
