Lincoln County Tax Department Notice of Delinquent Tax
Under and by virtue of the authority vested in me by General Statute #105-369 and pursuant to an order of the Board of Commissioners of Lincoln County, NC; Notice is hereby given that the 2020 taxes due Lincoln County, City of Lincolnton, and all Special Tax Districts, shown below were not paid as of April 28th, 2021 and I am hereby advertising the tax lien for these real estate properties. The amount advertised will be increased by interest and costs, and the omission of interest and costs from the amount advertised will not constitute a waiver of the taxing unit’s claim for those items. The real estate subject to the lien is listed in the name of the delinquent date owner. If the taxes remain unpaid, wages and personal property owned by the owner when the taxes became delinquent or by the current taxpayer are subject to garnishment and attachment proceedings or the lien may be foreclosed by the taxing unit and the property sold to satisfy the taxing unit’s claim for taxes. This list includes a description of the properties (Parcel ID#) and the amount of the taxes. The listings do not include all unpaid taxes; the listings are only for the property described below and are for the 2020 unpaid taxes. These forced collection procedures do not apply to taxpayers which may be under a US Bankruptcy plan.
