More Than A Job NC Program

More Than A Job NC empowers individuals to reach their career potential and meets the workforce needs of North Carolina by enabling our trusted partners to provide jobs-driven, skills-based training, education, and support services that improve the confidence, health, and well-being of participants, families, and communities.

The More Than A Job NC program is offered to eligible Food and Nutrition Services (Formerly Food Stamps) recipients age 16 and up who meet certain criteria.

Lincoln County DSS has teamed up with Gaston College and Grace-Mar to help Lincoln County residents become self-sufficient.

We may offer:

• Academic Counseling
• Virtual Training 
• Case Management
• Financial/Registration Assistance
• Transportation
• Job Retention Services
• Resume Assistance
• Job Search Training
• Supplies and/or tools necessary for work/school]
• Job Retention for up to 90 days
